Hi Steven,

My friend Stremer (from the brazilian community 'Viva o Linux') says he created the 2 floppies with  tgz  and he doesn't know if he could do it with mkisofs (he's got no Windows nor floppy on his machine).

He's booting from VMware but he's complaining because BL3 opens X, but it doesn't allow him to install programs.

If mounted on   /dev/hda1   everything goes allright but he cannot install lilo.

When he types   lilo-v   there's a message which says
"Sorry, dont know how to handle devide 0x0100"

He says he had installed many distros before on that machine, including on VMware, but never had this kind of problem.

And more, he says that when boots from floppy and tries to access the HD, this error message appears:
"Kernel panic: VSF: Unable to mount root fs on 03:03"

Stremer intends to purchase a 486 CPU in order to install BL-3.
Steven, do you think it's a good idea?
BTW, he's a "Linuxist" since the late 90's and presently uses Ubuntu.

Cheers,
Teixeira

Is there a way to install BL3 on a virtual machine (VMware)?
If so, what are the procedures?

Cheers,
Teixeira
