Now when I boot to the HD with "hd root= /dev/hda2" it looks like it's
booting up but then I get -
After install-to-hd to /dev/hda2, you should have a hd.bat file in the baslin directory consisting of
loadlin zimage root=/dev/hda2 rw
loadlin - linux loader
zimage - linux kernel (it can be named other things such as zimage.p1)
root - where the linux file system is located (second partition on first drive, had, which is attached to IDE0 - primary IDE controller).
rw - mount filesystem so you can read and write to it
FS: Cannot open root device 00:00
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 00:00
DOS was never this hard!
It was for me.
