Can BL3.40 be used with an external USB drive? A friend just stopped by with an 80G he bought at a yard sale as part of a package with a Firewire drive, 2 for $2. It needs a 9V DC power supply (small end) or a powered USB hub which we have.
I could probably figure out some way to boot to it or chroot to it using David's 1-floppy USB camera-oriented mass storage linux (2.4.31 kernel).
Or loop BL with a 2.4.31 kernel.
