got it to work.... the driver kept complaining that the card was 'hard
strapped' and that i needed to run ewrk3setup or undo the
hardstrapping...... hardstrapping??? anyway... i found the old setup
disk for the nic (dos packet drivers and various other stuff) and
found that hard strapping ment hardware jumpers.... so i set the
jumperes to use eeprom... changed the eeprom settings for port and IRQ
in the card (using the DOS utility since the linux version needed
ewrk3.h ... which isnt in bl3 and a static version i found messed up
the eeprom to where it wouldnt work at all....) and it came to life...
