kbd.tgz from slack 7.1 is enough.

slack 7.1 is not slack 3.5, so you need to
add info about remapping font.

setfont lat2-16 -m lat2u.uni

or if you don't like lat2-16 font

setfont iso02.f16 -m iso02.uni

Where to find lat2u.uni or iso02.uni?
It's in usr/lib/kbd/consoletrans directory
in kbd.tgz package.

I tested both with loadkeys pl
as Polish is my native and both
works OK letting me write in Polish
with ISO8859-2 encoding

In BL1 (and BL3) setfont lat2-16 is enough :)
