That's good to know. The same method should work
for any PCMCIA network card that has a module in
Slackware's /modules/2.2.16/pcmcia directory.

Note: The cardmgr in BL3 only recognizes standard
PCMCIA cards (pc card). It can not use the newer
cardbus PCMCIA cards (which don't fit in old laptops
anyway).

Once cardmgr has activated the network card, all
you need is one line.

If there is a DHCP server on the network:
------
udhcpc
------

If there is no DHCP server on the network:
-------------------------
ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.1
-------------------------
Those numbers are just an example.

This whole process can be automated by editing /etc/rc
----------------------------
####_ACTIVATE_PCMCIA_####
# /etc/pcmcia/start <--remove # at start of this line

###_ACTIVATE ETHERNET_###
# ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.1 <--remove # at start of this line
----------------------------

Then at system startup, cardmgr will find your network card
and bring up the network.

Cheers,
Steven
