Hi Sindi,

I stopped to work with DOS programs as soon as I had to insert Czech
texts into music scores.

These kind of programs are Windows based not because MS wants them to
be, but they seem to really need those resources, fonts etc. Anyway
there are different kinds and approaches. I liked very much a program
called 'Lime' that in some relation turned out to be much more
universal than the most expensive notation software. On the other
hand it has a rather simple philosophy, small file format, and
excellent combination of mouse AND keyboard use.

Linux: Yes there are quite a couple of programs. But who will
be able to compile them? I realized that I would have to
leave BL community. This is not what I intend. I rather keep my
Windows98 museum on one of our office computers.
