Cheers, Steven _______________________________________________ BasLinux mailing list BasLinux AT lists.ibiblio.org http://lists.ibiblio.org/mailman/listinfo/baslinux I'm using PS1. I think I've figured it out... Here is the color enhancements I had made from the response you sent yesterday and several trips to the web: PS1='\033[0;34m[\033\033[0;31mLinux\033\033[0;34m\033\033[1;37m \w \033\033[1;36m<\033\033[0;35m\$\033\033[1;36m>\033\033[0m' Everything was looking nice, but it wasn't long after I had added this that things got a bit out of hand. I edited it as such: PS1='\[\033[0;34m[\[\033\[\033[0;31mLinux\[\033\[\033[0;34m\[\033\[\033[1;37m \w \[\033\[\033[1;36m<\[\033\[\033[0;35m\$\[\033\[\033[1;36m>\[\033\[\033[0m' It seems to have done the trick. The prompt has stopped moving from place to place. No matter what I try, I can't get it to do it again, not that I'm complaining. :) Thank you. |
