I have heaps of megabytes of extra memory in my machine that
I'm not using. I don't have enough space on my hard drive at
this time to set aside to make a partition for a hard drive
installation of BasicLinux. It would be really cool if we
could have two different versions prepared for a ram drive
installation, one being a package for a small ram drive and
another for a much larger ram drive. I hope this idea of mine
will fly well. One thing I really like about running programs
on a ram drive instead of on a hard drive is that everything
runs so much faster and smoother and slick on a ram drive.
Of course I am also very much aware of the disadvantages of
running programs on a ram drive. I hope nobody gets on my case
to inform me of the drawbacks of using a ram drive because I
already know about them and I have already considered the pros
and cons of all that.

All the best,

Sam Heywood
