- Subject: [BL] Why tftp but no ftp?
- Date: Sat, 6 Dec 2003 22:52:15 -0500
In our current BasicLinux distro we have a tftp client but no
ftp client. I don't know why no ftp client was included.
Most of us know of a lot of remote computer sites that we can use
where there are ftp servers running, but who knows of some sites
that have a tftp server running? From what I have just recently
read on some web pages that came up on a google search tftp uses
protocols that are way different from ftp. AFAIK an ftp server
can't even talk to a tftp client. Does anybody have any ideas
about some remote sites where we might be able to use our tftp
client?
