Some of the participles I mentioned in 1QS 1:19-22 are complements of the modal יהיו. Others are in a new paragraph (indicated by the vacat). 18 … ובעוברם בברית יהיו הכוהנים 19 והלויים מברכים את אל ישועות ואת כול מעשי אמתו וכול 20 העוברים בברית אומרים אחריהם אמן אמן vacat 21 vacat והכוהנים מספרים את צדקות אל במעשי גבורתום 22 ומשמיעים כול חסדי רחמים על ישראל והלויים מספרים Ken M. Verbal forms without context don't help if we're looking at how they are used and hoping to see how you determine that they are modal (whatever that slippery term means). Thanks for understanding.
