Assuming that we're talking about the list of forbidden practices in Deut. 18:10-11, "qosem qesamim" is usually understood to be a general practitioner of magic, and "me'onen" is understood to be derived from " 'onah" – "season", "one who foretells the seasons", a fortune teller. Various commentators and translations give different nuances of these explanations. Yigal Levin From: b-hebrew-bounces AT lists.ibiblio.org [mailto:b-hebrew-bounces AT lists.ibiblio.org] On Behalf Of Pere Porta Mike, Concerning QSM, do you mean the word that appears in Nm 23:23? Do you mean the word that is found in Dt 18:10? Or you rather think of the word that appears in Ez 21:34? (You should give the vowel sounds of your word) Greetings, Pere Porta 2013/5/13 Mike Burke <michaelgburk AT yahoo.com> What exactly do the terms קסם and ענן mean? Michael Gerard Burke
