what makes you think that NPS should be a niphal verb form here?

Context:

The word preceding is a noun of action with a prefixed Mem of comparison, and NP$ ends the idea.

Form:

The verb starts with a Nun. Of course there’s the possibility that this is a verb that starts with a Nun, like several others, but then which verb would that be and what would it mean?
