these are two quite different concepts: hate - despise.
Of course, "sane" is much stronger than "bazah"...
Compare:
 
Malachi 2:16:

Version JPS  ------------------->  For I hate putting away,

2Samuel 6:16

Vesion JPS  -------------------->  and she (Mical) despised him (David) in her heart.

Are these concepts the same thing?

Is there any difference between Sane' (usually translated hate) and Bazah (usually translated despise)?

Is either word stronger than the other?
