so could it be that the lucky Paleolithic Semite who bestowed upon
Ashdod its name for eternity, a name accepted by all the locals, that
this Semite had been moved by a landscape dominated by a shuddering
teat-like feature, adorned by flowers (dudaim) and populated by
thieves and lovers, devious businessmen and friends?

Looks like cities haven't changed much.
