There are some cases, Isaac, where a begadkefat lacks dagesh lene. This only
means, methinks, that the consonant must be said/read soft:
-Kalvan, dog rearer (... not kalBan)
-Katvan, clerk (not KatBan)
These are mainly (or only?) job doers.
