why don't you just list your definition(s)
and explain how you test for it, short version?

it is easy to show time contrasts, e.g. yiqtol in a past context,
and wayyiqtol where something less than the whole event is pictured.
(e.g. Gen 28:10 he didn't get there)

but then they must be balanced by those events that are fully complete
before the next verb/clause, like Jud 14:1 and 2. (contrast 14:5)

It would be nice to have the statistics of the Old Greek putting wayyiqtol
into 'present inf' vs. aorist inf.
and how many narrative yiqtol are translated by the imperfect or participle
combination and how many by aorist.
(PS: this is a real request, not rhetoric, I would like to know but don't have
the means of doing this electronically, nor the time to count.)
