Hi Paul,

Yes, your comment helped me.
Thank you,

Dave,

I assumed that Pere entitled his post as if he were dealing with an
unpointed text. But, if we deal with a pointed text, then, yes, the
addition is indeed qamets he. I guess it's just a presumption that, if
an
additional consonant is added to the end a word, it would mean a
corresponding syllable (with a vowel).

Does this assurance of the correctness of your thinking help?

Paul Zellmer

The title of this topic is "What does H add?"

When I look at )WRFH at Esth 8:16 I see a "qamets he" [i.e. FH]
following the resh which is following a holem waw that is following an
Aleph.

Am I in error to believe that the "H" being one half of a "qamets he''
adds the qamets that is found under the resh in [Aleph-holem
waw-resh-qamets-he]

Excuse my ignorance if I am totally wrong in my thinking?

Dave Donnelly

From the dictionary:
1. Light. Electromagnetic radiation that has a wavelength in the
range from about 4,000 (violet) to about 7,700 (red) angstroms and
may be perceived by the normal unaided human eye.

2.Light. Of relatively little weight; not heavy. Not harsh or severe.
Free from worries or troubles; blithe.
