Fred,
The biblical documents are not the sole witnesses to ancient Hebrew. There
are many inscriptions from the ancient world in Hebrew as well. Some of these
are ordinary business receipts (e.g. The Samaria Ostraca).
The ‘purpose’ you see behind the Hebrew language is a theological assertion
and is, therefore, not for the intended consumption of this biblical Hebrew
language forum.
You’ve been asked to abide by the forum’s parameters. Please do so.
