Dear all,

Concerning second person singular masculine (and third person singular
feminine) I remark that verbs p"aleph have two different vowel patterns for
their Qal Imperfect.

1. Pattern e-e-o
2. Pattern o-a

Samples of 1: te'esof (Dt 28:38); te'erov (Pr 7:12)
Samples of 2: tomar (Gn 14:23); tokal (Gn 3:19)

Do you know of some rule, some guide, to clearly distinguish which verbs
p"aleph match pattern e-e-o and which match pattern o-a?

Maybe only verb "amar" and verb "akal" have pattern 2, all the rest of this
verb kind matching pattern 1?

(By the way, PLEASE cool the discussion on the doubling of k and so on!!)
