"Any idea why it is 6823 times, no less no more?"

Dave replies:

As a matter of fact I do have an idea why YHWH occurs 6823 times in The
Roman Catholic New Jerusalem Bible.
P.S. Peter Kirk explained this issue in detail back in about 1965.

If you check the Brown-Driver-Briggs lexicon of 1905, you will discover
that the editors claim that [yod-shewa-heh-defective
holem-waw-qamets-heh] [a.k.a. Strongs Hebrew Word #3068] occurs 6518
times in the M.T. where YHWH stands alone]
and that [Aleph-hatef segol-Lamed-defective holem-heh-hireq-yod-final
Mem] [a.k.a Elohim] occurs 305 times, when YHWH either preceeds or
follows Adonai.

They seem to be giving the numbers for the Ben Chayyim Hebrew text which
underlies the Old Testament of the KJB.
If you add 6518 and 305 you get 6823.

However the situation is different in Codex L, which has 6 variants of
YHWH,
but I believe that Peter Kirk has shown the numbers are the same in the
Leningrad Codex,
but that it takes several variants of YHWH [Permanent qere = Adonay] to
add up to 6518,
and it takes several variants of YHWH [Permanent Qere = Elohim] to add up
to "305".

6518 and 305 still adds up to 6823 but there are 6 variants of YHWH in
Codex L,
while there are only 2 variants of YHWH in the Ben Chayyim Hebrew Text.;

Any idea why it is 6823 times, no less no more?

When compared to the distance Earth-Moon, the total length of the Chinese

Wall, the Great Pyramid's square root of whatever plus or minus some
skull
measurements...

Any concrete suggestions?

Maybe you have a preference for logarithmic scale?
There's a little touch of mathematical understanding in logarithmic
scale,
don't you think? [spoiled by .xls graph menu, actually, a cause of
concern
to some extent]

Maybe it has some *relevant* [sic] relationship with the height of Notre
Dame in centimeters according to page xx,yyzz of The Big Conspiracy Made
Easy (to be published soon).

I noticed the number cannot be divided by 2, 3 or 5, or 23. Strange no?
This
must mean something, preferably bad I suppose. Help, somebody!

Many thanks.
