Well,

the Christians were Jews who followed the Jewish religion and festivals and
so their writings are indicative of how and when the Jews celebrated
Passover and Shavuoth in one particular period. It is OK to have objections
about whether these testimonies are authoritative or not but it cannot be
denied that they are a useful historical resource both for Jews and
Christians alike.
