Hello Everybody,
I have a question with regards to Exodus 34:6 that might sound very strange?
I came across this sermon on a website that can be found below:
http://www.mecmalvern.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=84&Itemid=54
It is the sermon on the 14th of March 2010 by Lewis, bout 8:22 mins to 10:01
mins into the talk he claims that the Hbrew words "slow to anger" originally
means "long of nose."
I would be very grateful if someone could please help me with this and
clarify if its true or not?
Thank you,
Take Care,

That is a common teaching, and that is what I was taught in class as well.
However, is it true? Or are they two different words, with different
etymologies, that happened to converge in form?
Presently both ânoseâ and âangerâ are spelled and pronounced the
same. But
was that always true? We donât know. The vowels were not preserved in
Biblical Hebrew. And by the time of the Masoretes, a shift in pronunciation
could have caused both words to be pronounced the same.
Personally I am of the opinion that they were originally two separate words,
that converged in form, just like the English word âtooâ (to, too, two).
