Hi Bruce!
Ex 33:14 literally reads,
"And then He said, My faces(presence) shall go and I shall cause rest for
you(s.)"
It doesn't say He will go "with" them or "with" him, but simply that He will
go and will cause rest.
Either the second or both of these actions are 'for you(singular)'.
Considering the personal dialogue preceding ["Now therefore, I pray thee, if
I have found grace in thy sight, shew me
now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight:
and consider that this nation [is] thy people."], I would suggest that the
'you' is Moshe: YHWH is responding that yes he will show Moshe the way, He
will go.
Garth Grenache.

Thanks, Lewis.
I understand that v16 may give me the answer I'm seeking in context, but I'd
like to know if the Hebrew in v14 is indicative, one way or the other.
Cheers
Bruce
