Petr Tomasek: How would you explain for example w-pf used in conditional clauses where BOTH, the protasis and the apodosis are are beginning with this form?

On a second thought, the correlation between Hebrew and Russian is even closer in this case. Not only the Russian employs two future tense verbs in conditional clauses, but prepositions are also the same as in deictic center shits.

A Russian narration's conditional clause would sound like:

А как сделаешь это, то и наступит то.

Literally,

And as you will do this, then and that will happen.

"As" and "and" are also used in Russian deictic center shift:

И как взмахнет он тогда мечом.

Literally,

And as he would draw his sword at that time.
