Dave Donnelly's referenced post shows that the b-hebrew list allows URLs to be passed to list readers. Here are a few of tips for readers referencing the Unicode/XML WLC site:
1. Blanks in URLs break many mail system's handling of URLs, as in
http://www.tanach.us/Tanach.xml#1 Kings2:26-2:26
of Dave's post. Blanks are not needed in any Unicode/XML WLC site URL and
http://www.tanach.us/Tanach.xml#1Kings2:26-26
produces the desired result. The blank does appear in the browser address bar and is preserved in the pasting into the post. It's the mail system that breaks the URL at the blank. Place a blank between the URL and any trailing punctuation, too.
2. In moving from one site URL to another that differ only in their citation, no change in display may occur. This is because browsers don't reload when only the data after the hash '#' sign has changed. Press the browser reload button to see the new citation.
3. The new site Server offers a faster and more flexible alternative to hash URLs:
http://www.tanach.us/Server?1Kings2:26-26&content=Vowels&t1=Example_4
(There's a problem equivalent to 1 above if a title includes a blank in a post.) See
http://www.tanach.us/Tanach.xml#Server
for more details.
