Thanks for the reply.

So are you saying that the accent is with the munach?
Also, is the mark represented by <75> a meteg or silluq?

I have a question in regards to accents and trope marks.

Here is a small list of the word type in question:
Gen 003:018,3 <T.AC:MI74YXA75>
Gen 022:007,9 <HIN.E74N./I75Y>
Gen 024:009,10 <WA/Y.I$.F74BA75(>
Gen 028:002,3 <P.AD.E74N/F75H>

In these words you have a Munach on the 2nd to last syllable, and then a
Sof Pasuq(Silluq)/Meteg on the last syllable.
So my question is two fold:
1. Since these words are not at the end of the verse, does that make the
last trope Meteg, or can they be Sof Pasuq(Silluq)?
2. Where is the accent?

Thanks in advance.

>From Israel Yeivin, Introduction to the Tiberian Masorah, #332 (p. 252):
"A special case of ga(ya on an open syllable is ga(ya marked after the
accent. If a word with the accent on the penultimate syllable ends in an
open syllable, and stands before a word with the accent on the first
syllable, ga(ya may be marked on the open syllable after the accent at
the end of the first word, such as Is 52:11 'su:ru: 'su:ru: (marking the
first "ru:").

"This ga(ya is only rarely marked. It is most common in
early MSS but occurs only in scattered places in them.

"This ga(ya occurs more often where the vowel of the stress syllable
of the second word is preceded by schewa, as Gen 28:2 and
elsewhere paddena )aram, where the )a is a type of schewa (hataf
patah)."

Your first example, however, is different. There the munax appears
on the last syllable. This is described in section #354 (p. 262):
"... Ga(ya is similarly sometimes used on the last syllable of a
word with penultimate stress if it ends with a guttural and the
following word begins with lamed or nun ... Ga(ya may even be
marked in a similar situation after patah "furtive", as Dt 29:19
slx lw.

Yeivin calls this "phonetic ga(ya" suggesting it has no musical
purpose. But I'm not sure this is correct.
