Ah yes, Judges 5...my second year Bib Hebrew prof (undergraduate) started us
on Judges, including 5. That was a tough quarter, but we finished the entire
book.

I would second the suggestion of Jonah or Ruth.

Joanh, yes.
Ruth is simple, but has some non-standard forms,
also Esther is simple, but has some non-standard, i.e. non-classical
syntagms.
So both should not be first choice for the beginner.

First take Jonah, and than Judges - whatever you like in the book,
but NOT chapter 5!!
