Was the Aramaic verb in Daniel 7:27 PLX used as "to serve" only for
religious service or for serving people too? Are there quotes outside of the
Tanakh where this word was used for non-religious service?
HALOT provides various cognates and uses of this word in the meaning
"servant" or "laborer" or "agricultural laborer" including Jewish Aramaic,
Samaritan, Syriac, Neo Syriac, Arabic (loanword from Syriac), Neo
Aramaic, among others.
