I am trying to find out how many DSS manuscripts witness to "in his death"
in Isa 53:9 as opposed to "in his deaths" in MT.

The Dead Sea Scrolls Bible by Abegg, Flint & Ulrich, which is in English,
says that Isa 53:9 is found in 3 manuscripts: 1QIsa-a, 1QIsa-b, & 4QIsa-d.
All of these manuscripts contain at least Isa 53:8-10.

The translation in The DSS Bible translates word in question in Isa 53:9 as
"his tomb" singular, with the following footnote:

1QIsa-a. In his deaths MT. in his death LXX.

I can view the Hebrew of 1QIsa-a (http://www.ao.net/~fmoeller/qum-44.htm
last word on line 16), and there it looks like Isa 53:9 says "in his death"
singular, except that there is an extra waw between the bet and the mem.
Fred Moeller, the site owner, translated it as "in his death".

Here are my questions:

1. Why did The DSS Bible translate BWMTW as "his tomb", but then say in
the footnote that the MT says "in his deaths"? Apparently they see BWMTW as
a totally different word than the MT's BMTYW.
2. Why did The DSS Bible footnote "his tomb" only with 1QIsa-a? Since
the 2 other manuscripts mentioned above also contain Isa 53:9, as well as
the verses before and after it, wouldn't they also have this word in them?
My understanding of the footnote is that the other 2 manuscripts must only
contain pieces of the verses and not every word of Isa 53:9, and thus don't
contain either BWMTW or BMTYW. Is that right?

Thanks,
