This expression may be modeled upon Russian. But, then, Russian has too many
similarities with Hebrew for a coincidence. Recently, we discussed deictic
center shifts: common in Hebrew and Russian, yet so odd for English and
German scholars that they preferred discarding Hebrew tenses in favor of the
bizarre "aspect-only" theory.
