Emmanuel:

I can only say what I did, which was to start in Genesis, and read through to
the end. The Torah is not that difficult, not as difficult as prophets
like Isaiah and Jeremiah, nor is there much poetry. And it is followed
directly by Joshua, Judges, 1 & 2 Samuel, and 1 & 2 Kings, all of which
are fairly simple. Even so, when you hit Isaiah, you will find it difficult.
Jeremiah and Ezekiel often even more so. But once you get through the
Prophets and most of the Writings, when you reach 1 & 2 Chronicles, the quick
and easy reading prepares you to start in Genesis again. At
least it did for me. By having the easier books interspersed through the
harder books, it gives a change of pace, instead of just getting harder
and harder.

Karl W. Randolph.
