In the verse that we're discussing (Deut. 33:27) Qedem is clearly paralleled
with (olam, which means something like "forever" or "everlasting". What are
"everlasting arms"?. Interestingly enough, the same pair, Qedem and (olam,
are also paralleled in verse 15, where it's "mountains of Qedem" and "hills
of (olam". I can understand the idea of mountains and hills being around
since creation and for eternity.
