Generally speaking, Modern Hebrew uses a morphology based on Biblical Hebrew
but syntax based on Indo-European languages. Hence, for example, instead of
perfect/ imperfect aspect, verbs have past/ present/ future tense. However
the second person singular masculine suffix is KHA instead of the Mishnaic
Hebrew AKH. Much basic vocabulary is the same, but of course there are many
neologisms for modern things and concepts. But do not say "anokhi xafets
fellafel", it's: "ani rotse fellafel".
