Hi Steve,
Most Rabbis are happy to meet non Jews who are interested in the learning
of Hebrew, knowing that people who are willing to take such a step normally
develop an appreciation for Judaism that is helpful in the understanding between
the two faith systems. If you will write to me privately and tell me where
you are located, I will be happy to contact a Rabbi in your area and try to
arrange a meeting for you. I teach Hebrew at LSU, and about 75% of my
students are not Jewish. So if you want to move to Baton Rouge, I will
welcome you to our courses, teach you Hebrew, and invite you to services where
we use Hebrew for the entire liturgy.
Be well,
Shalom,
Charles David Isbell
