Dear Dale,
Have you seen Keil's old suggestion that the word simply refers to
"women"? He translates:
"the service of thy timbrels and of thy women was with thee, on the day
that thou wast created, they were prepared."
Keil takes N:QFBIYM as a plural of N:Q"BFH, formed like the masculine,
after the analogy of NF$IYM and P.L.AG:$IYM. He considers it "the harem
pomp of oriental kings. He sees the word service used as in Gen 29:11.
These things would have been made ready for the king on his coronation day.
He sees God as responsible for the king's position in this analogy between
the king of Tyre and Adam in Paradise.
