Has anyone run across a discussion of the meaning of NEQEB in Ezk 28:13 which suggests meanings not based on the Hebrew "hole", ie., socket for a gem (which seems to make nonsense of TOP "tamborine"), but rather:
1) Ugaritic nqbn "part of horse's harness", or,
2) Hebrew NQB with the meaning "to denote, mark", as it occurs in Amos 6:1 and the Nifal
Paired with TOP, the first might refer to some sort of decoration or musical instrument (made from parts that resemble the parts of a horse's harness); the second might refer to some sort of insignia or special markings. Or...??
