vocab in Humash
shalom list and computer software people.
would someone of you be able to answer some 'simple' questions that i can't
get at?
1. how many vocabulary words occur in Gen-Deut?
i.e. nouns, others, plus verbs according to binyanim
(but not counting pual/hofal/nifal when simple passives of active verbs. i
do not count a root as a vocabulary word.)
[e.g. t s i v v a / t s u v v a is one verb.
tsadaq, tsiddeq, hitsdiq, hitsTadeq would be four words.
nibba, hitnabbe would be two words.]
(my gut guess is around 4000-5000 for the tora, but i'd like a 'real'
number.
NB: this is not the number of total word occurrences: 79856, nor is it the
number of roots involved.)
2. how many vocabulary words (again, counting verbs according to
non-passive, individual binyanim) occur in jonah, rut and judges?
thank you for any help you can offer.
braxot,
