Absolutely. Job is full of hapax legomena and very complex; whilst the Dtr.
Hist. is fairly easy to read (Dt through 2 Kings). A general rule- poetry
is harder than prose. The Chronicler (1-2 Chr, Ez, Neh) is harder than the
Dtr. The Torah is mid way between the Dtr. and Job in level of difficulty.
I would suggest that you start with Dtr. and read Sam and Kings. Then
Torah. Then the Chronicler. Then the Writings (except Psalms and Prov)-
Then dive into the Psalms and Proverbs. Then the Prophets. Finally the
book of Job.
Best,
Jim
