Here are my favorite Old Testament introductions:

Introduction to the Literature of the Old Testament by Driver (1913)
Survey of Old Testament Introduction by Archer
Introduction to the Old Testament by Keil (2 volumes)

I also liked the general articles on the Old Testament in volume 1 of The
Interpreter's Bible (1952 edition)
