You should check out all the Blues Orchids stuff on LTM:

"The Greatest Hit (Money Mountain)" contains the entire album (two tracks
never before on CD) plus both Rough Trade 7"s (a-sides and b-sides), the
entire "Agents Of Change" 4- song 12" and a track by Nico.  Fine liner notes
too.

"From Severe To Serene" contains two complete Peel sessions and some
mind-blowing live tracks, including a really odd version of the Fall song
"Underground Medicine" (retitled "Underground Breakfast," I think) that
really bridges the musical gap between the Bramah/Baines period of the
Fall and the early Blue Orchids.  It also has the Thirst EP that was on
Rough Trade - a short-lived post-Una Baines project by Martin Bramah.

"The Sleeper" is a pretty fine too, more commercial sounding album (previously
unreleased) from 15 years or so ago, with many excellent tracks and the
entire 7" and 12" versions of the "Thirst" / "Sleepy Town" single and the
whole Secret City CD EP.

"Mystic Bud" is a subdued, druggy album.  Very low-key and folky in
parts.  It's kind of a collaboration between Bramah and Charlotte Bill
(who played with the Fall and the Blue Orchids at times.)  It's subtle
and creepy, but a grower.

The "Slum Cavern Jest" CDEP, which is only available through the
Blue Orchids' website (www.blueorchids.net) is pretty cool - more like
"Work" / "The Flood" eras Blue Orchids than anything else, but with
its own sound.  Long time ago Blue Orchids member Rick Goldstraw
rejoins Bramah.  It's cheap too, and the postage will get it to you even
in the US.

It came out on and is available direct from LTM Records (and all good record shops):

along with some other releases of singles and a good live outing from way back when. LTM records are great for anyone into Factory records, Manchester etc
