Cuba faces the greatest disaster the country has ever known
the entire nation, every province, has suffered from the impact of 2 sever
hurricanes within 10 days, damaging half a million houses, decimating food
and export crops and destroying vital infrastructure, roads and
communications systems.

CAPE (Cuba-Australia Permaculture Exchange) is appealing for donations to
support the numerous permaculture projects that have been decimated by the
hurricanes and subsequent flooding. Many project will need to re-establish
from scratch --start all over again-- many of these gardens provide fresh
vegetables for whole neighbourhoods. Roberto Sanchez is currently visiting
effected projects in the provinces and we will post the reports on our
website as they come to hand from the Havana permaculture team.
