If it's A. arguta, I would be very surprised if you couldn't grow it in USDA Zone 7.

The New Zealanders may be getting a little cagey about their cultivars these days, and I can't say that I really blame them. I see that
even in apples grown in North America there are one or two that
are owned by associations of growers.

With my lazy Trader Joe's dinner this evening, I served myself a
package of dino-diesel-enabled hardy kiwis shipped from NZ, for which,
frankly, I have no inclination to be apologetic, as the taste and
quality of them completely blew my mind. Identical flavor to a fuzzy
kiwi, but with such a richness and depth of flavor and soft sweet
texture as I have *never* tasted from a "regular" kiwi. I've had hardy
kiwis several times before and I remember them tasting okay but not
stunning -- weird aftertaste, a slightly chewy skin, and a musky
scent. These kiwis I ate just now were the sort of thing that makes me
want to invoke ancient gods and dive into chthonic mysteries.

If anyone can help me with my new personal quest, which is to find out
more information about the commercial cultivar Actinidia arguta cv.
'K2D4', it would be most appreciated. I have checked every google
search result and have found out little except for the name of the
cultivar whence come these berries, and the fact that it is
commercial, yet I feel compelled to search it out and find out if it
can be grown in mid-Atlantic conditions (USDA zone 7). Someday, I will
grow this kiwi.

Anyone familiar with K2D4?

Thanks,
