You can also spritz them with sugar water so they can't fly away, and cut open the package so they gently can be tumped out into new hive. Candy end of queen cage should point upward when placed in new hive. That way if attendants die, they fall below
and with candy entrance above, queen won't be trapped in cage with dead bees blocking exit.
