Hello,
So adding to my troubled hive...I had all those drones, and the queenless hive. Now I have a new queen, but almost all my bees are gone, dead I guess. I may have about 100? Maybe more. Over half are drones. I guess I was too late in re-queening, maybe? And the workers have started dying before being able to raise new ones? Several brood dead in their cells. One dead with it's tongue sticking out. And the ants and earwigs have taken over. Eating the pollen. There's even roaches in there, and I have never seen a roach at this house ever before! And I had one wax moth larva, I squished it.
The queen is still there, and there's one frame with eggs, no larva yet. Will the hive save itself, or do I need to think of adding some capped brood? And if so, where can I buy frames of capped brood, maybe the hygienic kind? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
