A third generation beekeeper in Randolph county told me to mix 1/4 c vinegar,
1/4 c sugar and 1 c. water together in an milk jug adding a very brown ripe
banana mashed up. Set this out by the hive body with the lid off. He said
that it would attract the wax moths into the jar so that they would not
disturb the hive.
