Hello again. I've looked at my frames again, this is day 14, and day 13 after releasing the queen. I still have lots of cells with multiple eggs(3-4), and even eggs laid in the cells that have pollen in them! I don't have anything capped, so still not 100% sure they are all drone cells. But I'm still worried. There's not that much comb drawn out, maybe 1/2 of a frame on 4-5 frames.
And I haven't been able to spot the queen. I looked for a good while today, no signs. I did see some bees with their rear ends in the cells, and they were workers. This makes me suspicious as well.
I feel like I should just get a new queen. I'm afraid if I wait till I see cappings, and the workers are laying, they will take up all the space and leave nothing for a new queen to lay in.
If anyone in the area happened to be bored and didn't mind checking out the hive, I'm free Sunday, Monday, and Wed evening. I don't know if it's a bad idea to open it up again 2 days in a row...Address is 1917 Watson Rd, 27704
Thanks everyone for your help! I'll keep you updated.
