Kaki and virginiana do hybridize - Rosseyanka and Nikita's Gift are
hybrids. The interesting thing about Ichi ki kei jiro is that it's
non-astringent, so a hybrid could be used to create a non-astringent
virginiana type.

I agree with Jerry's comment that your seed is more likely to come from
self-pollination. However, I think it would be worthwhile germinating it
to see what you have. A self-cross of Ichi might be interesting in its own
right. To germinate, keep the seed in a plastic bag in your refrigerator
(not freezer) over the winter, then plant it in the spring.
