I did a google search on =="new york" currant ban== and found a bunch of stuff. It seems that the relevant bill was S2592 LARKIN. I couldn't find anything "official", but these news items seem pretty clear.

New York had a long standing ban on currants, full ban on black, partial

can't find anything on the internet confirming that. Can anyone here
confirm the lifting of the ban, and perhaps point me to something
official?

Thanks!
