Planting the peach pit in the ground in the fall takes care of the chill req.
and also the
freeze/thaw alternations are supposed to help the pits crack and sprout (like
other
stone fruits). I have found sprouting peach pits that came up from discarded
pits, in my
flower beds! ..........vic NH zone 3
